Smoothie of the day 1

Smoothie of the day is another new concept I have come up with, and will also be one that is going to be easier to stick to compared to the likes of Video Wednesday which has only received one blog post but has been going for many weeks now

Smoothies are something I love due to the fact they are easy to make and for what you get after making a smoothie is a powerhouse of vitamins and minerals, combined with the delicious taste of fruit or vegetables that you may like, I usually enjoy a smoothie every other day and most of the time consume my smoothie in the afternoon

Every other day or every other week I will post a smoothie of the day and will label each post with a number too, so that if you like the idea of these posts and want to remember a specific smoothie or are just wondering how many smoothie recipes you can find on the blog, well it should be an easy task by numbering each new blog post

Below will be smoothie of the day number 1 and I will explain in detail what you need and how you should prepare for the smoothie, so please, read on

the smoothie of the day for today is an apple, pear, orange and avocado mixed together using this juicer, obviously you do not need to use that one, and I also used just a basic Tesco Value hand blender, but I am soon looking to purchase a better blender that is not handheld

Ingredient list:

1 Granny Smith apple, halved or quartered
1 Red Delicious apple, halved or quartered
1 Avocado, halved, skin removed and cut into large cubes
1 Williams pear, halved
1 Orange, peel removed and halved or quartered

What to do:

Step 1: Combine all ingredients apart from the avocado into the juicer until all fruit is obliterated
Step 2: With the juice from the fruits in a jug or container, you now want to add the avocado, using a blender or hand blender obliterate the avocado cubes until you have a smooth smoothie
Step 3: Feel refreshed

Quick review:

A surprisingly sweet smoothie that makes you think you are drinking something that is full of nasty ingredients to trick those taste buds, but is in fact the total opposite and is a power house full of vitamins, minerals and healthy fats
